Data Mesh

Who of you got experience with Data Mesh? The classical starting point is the article at martinfowler.com: How to Move Beyond a Monolithic Data Lake to a Distributed Data Mesh.

It’s quite an interesting concept and still in the beginning (at least for me). To simplify it I would describe it as Microservices for Data combined with a domain-driven design. With all the advantages and flaws of this architectural approach. There are plenty of articles and implementations for microservices and for domain driven design, however, I have yet to see an implementation of a Data Mesh.

Does somebody of you have hands-on experience with it? Further readings / lessons learned / in-depth considerations about Data Mesh? Curious to get your opinion and experiences!
